Exclamation "Divine Spirit" needs attention

Well...I'm a pure healing monk (Mo/El)
I mainly use Divine Spirit as main energy management; and I think it needs little attention.

Monk always have been a main target for energy draining related skills, and there are only two counter-measures monk can take for pure healer like myself.
-Spell Breaker = I did not find this skill efficient counter-measure. I tried this skill, but energy cost is too expansive, duration time/recharge time makes smart opponent to laugh. Since it is elite skill, I rather carry Word of Healing.
-Signet of Devotion = This can be very good counter-measure skill vs energy draining skills, but cast time really makes me to think again. I believe "timing" is very critical for monk. During the heat of the battle, 2 seconds cast time is...unefficient even though it is free healing. Each second is matter of life and death of team. So I think of Signet of Devotion as throw in skill in the beginning of the battle where everyone has full health.

That leaves me with Divine Spirit(DS). I think it has great potential once re-adjusted. Here are my thoughts about this skill.
First, It has 10 sec duration(with my attribute stats), so theoretically you can cast 1 sec skills 10 times.
That is not the case in real game for me. I find that I could only use about 6 to 7(if I get lucky) skills(1 sec). When I tried to squeeze more skills before DS expires...I ended up skipping skills by casting too many skills in short time(for example, if you cast 3 skills very quickly, it usually skips second skill...which also causes me to skip intended target ally.)
Second, I find 60 sec cool down time...way too long for pure monk's "only" energy management skill...compare to about 20 second recharge time for most of mesmer's energy drain related skills.

So here are my suggestion:
=Rather than give duration time of 10 seconds...how about first 10 skills you use will benefit from DS's blessing(Depends on attribute stats)?
If this is possible, I would no longer worry about putting maximum amount of skills within 10 second and risk skipping skills(and intended target ally).
=How about recharge time of 25-30 seconds? Since there are large variety of energy draining related skills(average recharge time of 20 sec or less)...it's not too much to ask isn't it?

Thanks for taking your time to read this long post

Ah, somebody else noticed the potential of this toss-a-way skill eh?

I agree somewhat, they do need to change it up a little, the way it is i find it kind of useless... it should last a little bit longer (keeping in mind of staff enchantment enhancing items and blessed aura), or give it a lower cool down(i think this would be better) and a .75 second cast time.

And just so you know, there are brief un-seen time delays inbetween casting spells, so you wouldnt be able to cast 10 one second casting spells in 10 seconds anyways.

Monks are already too powerful as healers as it is, they certainly don't need "improvements" to their skills, if anything they need more nerfings.

And a monk with a good necro is an energy machine. So we better nerf necros too.

Well you also have blessed signet has a form of energy management. Although, it has that 2 second cast and like you said every second counts.

But yeah, Bonetti's Defense is a far better energy management skill and it's a warrior skill for pete's sake.
